Times have changed and so has the regular, bland idli. Here is a different, hot and spicy idli that’s sure to be an instant hit and everyone’s hot favourite!
01. Small iddlies 8 02. Onion (big) - 1 03. Amaranth - 1 tbsp 04. Tomato - one half 05. Capsicum - 1 06. Dry red chillies - 1 07. Cumin seeds (powdered) – a pinch 08. Tomato sauce - ½ tsp 09. Chilli sauce - ½ tsp 10. Salt - to taste
01. Chop the onion, amaranth, tomato, capsicum and red chilly finely. 02. Place them together in a steamer and steam well, till cooked. 03. Mix the cooked vegetables with the powdered cumin seeds, tomato sauce, chilli sauce and salt. 04. Add the idlies to this mixture when still hot. 05. Serve it hot to enjoy the dish!
