Karunagappally is a municipality in the Kollam district of Kerala, India.The taluk is bound on the north by Kayamkulam, on the east by Kunnathur taluk, on the south by Kollam and on the west by the Arabian Sea. It is one of the fastest developing towns in Kerala and is part of Kollam metropolitan area. Karunagappalli is known for high background radiation from thorium-containing monazite sand. 

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു തീരപ്രദേശ പട്ടണമാണ്‌ കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി. ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയോട് ചേർന്നുകിടക്കുന്ന കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിന്റെ തെക്ക് അഷ്ടമുടിക്കായലും കിഴക്ക് കുന്നത്തൂർ താലൂക്കുമാണ്. കൊല്ലത്തു നിന്നും 27 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ അകലെ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി മതകേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ക്കും അമ്പലങ്ങള്‍ക്കും പ്രശസ്‌തമാണ്‌.
