As an organization, we remain steadfast in our commitment to objectivity and non-partisanship. Every employee of Manorama Online is briefed on our non-partisanship policy upon joining. Our Fact Checks are strictly factual and free from opinions. We also ensure that all members recruited to the fact-checking team have no affiliations with political parties or advocacy organizations, except those advocating for transparency. While every team member is entitled to their political views, these must not influence or be reflected in their fact-checks. To guarantee the absence of opinion or insinuation in any story, each one undergoes multiple stages of checks and re-checks.
The following are non-negotiables in our non-partisanship policy:
1. Personal biases and opinions cannot be part of any fact-check.
2. No employee is allowed to affiliate with any political party or advocacy organization, except those advocating transparency.
3. No employee is permitted to campaign for any political party or wear symbols or attire representing a political view.
4. No employee is allowed to use organization resources for printing, sharing, or copying any politically inclined material.
5. No employee is allowed to participate in any protest for a political cause.
6. No employee is allowed to influence colleagues or campaign to vote for a particular political party and to refrain from registering or voting for a political party
